How to get to Kadavu

Regular domestic air flight services go between Nadi International Airport or Suva Airport and Kadavu, landing at the central town of Vunisea. From Vunisea most resorts are accessed not by road, but by boat transfers along the wonderful coastline.

Kadavu is not so much a 5-star luxury resort destination. Here the resorts are gentle and traditionally Fijian island-style - natural, friendly and providing the opportunity of experiencing Fiji's beautiful tropical environment as well as the friendly generosity of its people away from the madding crowd. Kadavu is an adventure playground with many activities and experiences to discover.

Matava Resort - traditional thatched roof bures accommodate up to 22 guests so you can be assured of a tranquil stay. Ask for the honeymoon bure. Kayaking, fishing, diving on the Astrolabe reef, and other activities.
Papageno Eco Resort - this resort is closer to the Vunisea air strip so the boat transfer along the coast is much quicker. Four oceanview bures near the beach, or choose the romantic, privately located Garden Villa with ocean view.
Nagigia Island Resort - Nagigia Island is a small island off the western tip of Kadavu (pictured at the top of this page). Known as being one of the top Fiji surf resorts, it is also a romantic retreat where you can hear the lapping of the ocean and enjoy stunning landscape views and sunsets. It is even possible to book the whole island for a secluded honeymoon resort getaway.
Waisalima Beach Resort - This resort is the closest to the Astrolabe Reef so is a great diving resort. It offers only budget accommodation, but if you are keen to dive, are not looking for a luxury resort and have a limited budget, then this could be for you.
Matana Beach Resort - uncrowded private beachfront resort and the closest to Vunisea airstrip. Just 10 bures ensures peace and privacy and they open directly onto the beach. Relax, or go diving or indulge in other adventure activities.
Tiliva Resort - This 18 acre resort is just 10 minutes boat rid from the Great Astrolabe Reef and Waisomo Reserve. Spacious self-contained bures are set in lush tropical gardens with its own secluded beachfront having magnificent views across the bay to the island of Ono. It is ten minutes away from the Astrolabe Reef and Waisomo Reserve.

Standard Rates vary from resort to resort but are approximately in the range of FJ$180 per couple per night to FJ$500 per couple per night.
